Andrea Bocelli pro-life revelation on YouTube
Tenor Andrea Bocelli, 70, gave a very revealing speech during a benefit concert for Haiti. He interrupted the concert to tell the story of a pregnant woman who was admitted to a hospital with appendicitis.
“…the doctors suggested that she abort the child…They told her it was the best solution because the baby would be born with some disability,” Bocelli said.
“But the young brave wife decided not to abort, and the child was born,” he said. “That woman was my mother, and I was the child.”
Bocelli was born in Italy in 1958. Soon after his birth, he was diagnosed with congenital glaucoma, which made him partially blind. When he was 12 years old, he was involved in a football injury that took the rest of his vision.
Bocelli’s revelation occurred months ago, but was just placed on YouTube by the pro-life group Whole Life Initiative last week.
