This December, America’s favorite Italian tenor–Andrea Bocelli–is touring the U.S.
Bocelli’s six city tour kicks off on Dec. 2 at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, followed by stops at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. on Dec. 4 and Boston’s TD Garden on Dec. 5.
On Dec. 8, Bocelli heads South, with a concert at Houston’s Toyota Center. Finally, Bocelli wraps up his short tour with performances on the West Coast: Dec. 10 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and Dec. 11 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Andrea Bocelli’s most recent release was December 2009’s My Christmas. This year, he is celebrating his newest milestone: a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.

Tenor Andrea Bocelli, 70, gave a very revealing speech during a benefit concert for Haiti. He interrupted the concert to tell the story of a pregnant woman who was admitted to a hospital with appendicitis.
“…the doctors suggested that she abort the child…They told her it was the best solution because the baby would be born with some disability,” Bocelli said.
“But the young brave wife decided not to abort, and the child was born,” he said. “That woman was my mother, and I was the child.”

Andrea Bocelli received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Tuesday, March 2nd.
The self-described “modern but old-fashioned tenor” was the 2,402nd star on the walk, received after over 30 years of performing.
Bocelli, who was diagnosed with glaucoma as a child and lost his sight at 12 years old, has gone on to find major wordwide success.
Most recently, the singer performed “Bridge over Troubled Water” with Mary J. Blige at the 2010 Grammy Awards, benefiting victims of the Haitian earthquake.
